A note from our dear Friends, The Greenstein Family:

This is the 6th annual Strides for HOPE (Help Overcome Pediatric Epilepsy) and we have already raised over $500,000 to help children with epilepsy and the medical staff who treat them at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. We started this race as a way to give back to the medical community who has done so much for our son Ethan. A brief history of E…When Ethan was 6 1/2 mos Ethan was diagnosed with Sturge-Weber Syndrome, one of the main symptoms of which is epilepsy. Since that diagnosis, Ethan has endured numerous hospitalizations, endured multiple brain surgeries, has been through countless hours of doctors appointments and therapies and has taken more medicine than most adults. Thankfully, Ethan is now a happy 11 year old and, though he has been seizure free since his last surgery, seizures are never far from our minds.

Running With The Devils – Strides for H.O.P.E.

This year RWJBarnabas Health and Saint Barnabas Medical Center will be partnering with The New Jersey Devils on a run/walk along with other affiliate hospitals in the system. The Strides for HOPE saw this as a great opportunity to grow the event, receive state-wide exposure and provide so much more fun to our donors and participants. Strides for HOPE will still be the same event but look for the new name – Running With The Devils, Strides for HOPE as we continue to raise funds for Pediatric Epilepsy here at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and support patients and their families. Our new website will be coming soon. To make sure you are included on our email list to receive updates, please email Elizabeth Bennett at [email protected]
