Golden Spiral Prep
Marie holds a MA in Math Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a BA in English Literature from Georgetown University. She has 18+ years experience privately tutoring for the SAT, ACT, GMAT, and GRE tests, as well as 8 years teaching math in a high school setting. (She’s also a Newark Academy alum!)
Prior to coaching a student, she conducts an initial consultation with the family to discuss target schools, scheduling preferences, prior prep/test scores, and potential strengths and weaknesses. Based on that evaluation, she creates a structured plan for the first few lessons and then adapts the curriculum to the needs of each individual.
