Hello! I’m Ashley Scully, a mom of two. I live in Montclair and have loved raising our family here over the past 2.5 years.
Kids? How many? Ages?
My husband and I have two children, a 3-year-old boy and a girl who is about to turn one.
Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in Essex County?
I am originally from both Virginia and Florida (having moved as a teenager) and moved to NYC following undergrad. After 8 years of city living, we moved our family out to Montclair in 2019.

Yes! I am a pediatric occupational therapist and the Director of Northern New Jersey Therapy Services for Tiny Transformations, a pediatric therapy practice.
Tiny Transformations provides pediatric occupational and physical therapy services within the comfort of your own home. I am passionate about this model of pediatric therapy for several reasons. Not only does in-home therapy provide convenience for families and clients, but it also allows our therapists to achieve the highest outcomes for our clients by observing a child’s environment and providing real-time feedback. Additionally, concierge therapy services provide peace of mind during the COVID pandemic by maintaining consistency in treatment while also limiting exposure.
Our occupational and physical therapists are skilled at the assessment and treatment of a large variety of pediatric diagnoses and developmental delays from infancy through adolescence. I am thrilled to be able to provide this important service to the children and families in our community.
Favorite things to do in town/Essex County?
Having lived in NYC for 8 years, my husband and I love how walkable Montclair is as a town. We often can be seen strolling with our kids into town to go shopping or eat at restaurants. We also love the huge variety of parks to explore! With two young kids, our days are often spent playing at a local playground or bringing a ball to a soccer field in Brookdale Park.
What is your favorite restaurant town/in Essex County?
We love De Novo, housed in Upper Montclair’s train station. Their atmosphere is warm and inviting and even involves some excitement (i.e., the arrival of trains) for our 3 year old! With a wide variety on their menu, De Novo never seems to disappoint!
Best advice you have gotten?
I love the quote “be kind, you never know what someone else is going through.” This resonates with me so much as a mom. I try to keep this in mind with my daily interactions.
What Song Puts You In a Good Mood?
Can’t Take my Eyes Off of You by Frankie Valli, our first dance at our wedding.
Favorite Piece of Clothing?
My lululemon leggings. As a busy mom who loves to squeeze in a run or peloton ride, living in my lululemon leggings makes life easy! If I don’t have to change, I am more likely to fit a workout into my day.
As a therapist, I also must mention my Figs scrubs. Wearing scrubs allows me to comfortably move during my treatment sessions and not worry about any baby spit up that might occur during treatment!

The General Store at Cornerstone Montclair is one of our favorite places to go; they have fun gifts for all ages! We also frequent Watchung Booksellers; my son loves to cozy up in one of the chairs of the kid’s section while we browse the shelves.
