Dust off your cowboy boots and grab your girlfriends; Nashville is hotter than ever. With so many new hotel openings and a fun music and food scene, it makes for the perfect moms weekend away!

 

Country Music Hall of Fame

To Do: 

Visit the Ryman Auditorium, home to the Grand Ole Opry where artists from Taylor Swift to Hank Williams have performed, and take in the history of one of the most famous modern day music venues.

Hit the Honky Tonks that line Lower Broadway and enjoy live music seven days a week at places like Robert’s Western World and other local favorites.

Sign up for a songwriter session at the Country Music Hall of Fame and get an inside peak at what it’s like to write songs for the top country music performers.

Head to 12 South to do some shopping at stores like Reese Witherspoon’s flagship Draper James shop and grab brunch at Josephine’s on 12th.

Virgin Hotels Nashville – This new boutique hotel has rooms (called “Chambers”) with next-level appointments and amenities. You’ll find ergonomic headboards and yoga mats, plus glam meeting spaces, a guests-only rooftop pool, and a 24-hour gym. The Commons Club bar is a sleek space to enjoy a late night nibble after exploring Nashville’s nightlife.

Four Seasons —  This new hotel has all the luxuries you love from this brand, with a twist of Southern hospitality.  Located in the downtown SoBro neighborhood, it has views of Cumberland River and Riverfront park, plus a rooftop pool for catching up with your friends. The Mimo restaurant is also newly opened with a lively bar scene at night and a full day menu featuring Southern Italian eats.

Where to Eat:

For casual fare, grab breakfast at Biscuit Love  or a hot chicken sandwich at Hattie B’s. For lunchtime, Pinewood Social  is an energetic place to dine and bowl, with dipping pools and an outdoor bar if you are looking for something a little different. Head to a former Blacksmith shop in Germantown and dine in a private room in one of the oldest buildings in Nashville or enjoy the champagne garden at Geist.  Check out the oyster menu and simple but fresh menu at Henrietta Red; there’s a separate bar area that’s great for cocktails beforehand.
